Senior Community Service Employment Program

WHAT IS SCSEP?
Grand Gateway is one of several contractors in the State of Oklahoma administering the “Senior Community Service Employment Program” (SCSEP). Funded under Title V of the Older Americans Act and administered through the Department of Labor and Oklahoma Department of Human Services – Aging Services Division, the SCSEP provides useful part-time training in community service activities. Eligible persons are placed at a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization or a governmental entity, 20 – 29 hours per week, and are paid a training wage of $7.25 per hour to help prepare for and transition into unsubsidized employment.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR SCSEP?
An individual who is 55 years of age or older, unemployed and wanting to re-enter the workforce, meets income guidelines, and is a resident of Rogers, Washington, Tulsa or Osage county, may be eligible for SCSEP through Grand Gateway EDA Area Agency on Aging.
