Information and Assistance

Information and Assistance (Referral) is the art, science and practice of bringing people and services together. When individuals, families and communities don’t know where to turn for help for seniors (aged 60 and over), the Information and Assistance (I&A) Coordinator is there to aid them.

The I&A Coordinator creates and maintains a database of available human services and provides the information to individuals and communities through a variety of communication channels.

The I&A Coordinator will assess your needs in a confidential manner and help you understand and make person centered decisions. The I&A Coordinator can, when necessary, assist people who are in crisis or emergency situations and also advocate on behalf of individuals who need additional support.
