Nutrition
Grand Gateway Area Agency on Aging has fourteen federal/state funded Title III Older Americans Act congregate meal sites in Northeast Oklahoma.
Congregate meal sites provide more than a meal; socialization, health activities, wellness screenings, nutrition education, exercise programs, and links to additional services ensuring that seniors remain in their homes and communities.
Home-delivered meal recipients are determined and prioritized by an annual assessment conducted with each recipient to determine nutritional risk, activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living. We have provided expansion of frozen OAA meals in the rural areas of Northeast Oklahoma as demand has increased. Title III Older Americans Act home delivered meals have a suggested donations rate determined by the participant (donation is not required).
